The Woodland Realm is the heart of my British wildlife art—a quiet, myth‑touched world inspired by the real creatures of the Forest of Dean. Here, foxes, owls, deer and river guardians step out of the trees and into pastel, becoming watchful beings who protect the land Atwixt Two Rivers. Each piece begins as original wildlife art, then finds its place within this realm of story, atmosphere and memory.
The guardians of the Woodland Realm are how I bring British wildlife art and quiet folklore together. Every creature begins with time spent watching real animals in the Forest of Dean, sketching their posture, light and movement before they become pastel guardians. This is where my work as a British wildlife artist lives most fully—half rooted in real woodland, half in the realm between.
The Woodland Realm is where my British wildlife art gathers—foxes, guardians and river spirits woven into one quiet, connected world. If you’d like to live with these creatures, you can explore my original wildlife art and wildlife art prints , or receive a new Realm creature by post each month through my Monthly Print Club You can also return to my homepage to wander further through the Realm, discover more pastel wildlife art, and meet the other beings who watch over the Forest of Dean.
