It’s finally spring time in England, and as such I felt something bright and cheerful was in order! This is ‘Mellow Yellow’ and is 16×12 inch rabbit artwork painted in pastel.
My wild boar drawing is finished! I’m really on a roll getting half done projects finished at the moment. It feels really good as the final push takes a short time so I really feel I’m accomplishing something for a change! You can see all the previous stages of the wild boar paintings here
‘The Hunt for Red October’
8×8 inch original pastel painting adapted from a ref by Peter G Trimming on Flickr using cc licence.
Finally all of my little piggies are in place plus they all have little snouts! I’ve made a start on the blurry background but I have a feeling it could take quite some time. So far I’ve worked 32 hours on my wild boar wildlife painting so it’s another long one! You can see the previous wild boar stages here
Bit of an update on my wild boar wildlife painting. I tried so hard to be logical and work the humbugs first, I lasted 3 from 9 boar…….
No doubt, if you are local to the Forest of Dean you will recognise these little cuties immediately. These little ones are now being born in the woodlands and they are really very sweet to see. They are called humbugs (due to their stripes which sadly disappear as they grow larger) or hoglets.
