round_buttonPlease read through the following information if you are interested in making a pet artist commission or see the gift certificates page if this is your preferred option.

I OFFER

round_buttona personal one to one service, be it by email, telephone or in person. My reputation for customer care is secured by my service which is second to none. Many of my clients return time and time again, telling their friends and family and so expanding my base of satisfied customers.

round_buttonan accurate portrait. I can portray your pet in detail but your image must be detailed. I will not accept a commission with poor reference images, unfortunately if I cannot see enough detail I cannot produce the portraits you expect. I will also not be able to make your pet look younger than in the images, just send me an image of you pet in it's younger days instead! I cannot change it's position nor produce a colour pet portrait using a black and white photo. I will not make false promises just to secure a commission as the finished product will not be to my high standards. However, I do guarantee to reproduce your image accurately as a piece of art which can be treasured for years to come.

round_buttonIf you are interested in making a portraits from photos commission please take the time to read through these simple instructions and guides to make it a most enjoyable experience where you are completely in control and so receive a portrait you are entirely satisfied with.

BROWSE
round_buttonChoose the medium you would like, either graphite or colour, browse the pet portrait galleries and wildlife art galleries to help you decide.
Next choose the size you would like: For more than one subject please choose 10" x 8" or above otherwise your portrait will not be detailed enough. There is no extra charge for a full body portrait, they are the same price as for a head and shoulders. Visit my prices for more information

IMAGES
round_buttonI require good quality images, if you are at all unsure about a photo or digital image, simply email them to me and I can let you know immediately or follow my photography tips to ensure your reference images are perfect.

round_buttonAs an added extra and for no additional charge, if you do not have a suitable image, I can meet you at a pre-arranged time and place near Ross-on-Wye or the Forest of Dean to take photos for you. You can decide on the day your chosen image or I can email them to you for you look through later. This service is only available after a deposit has been made.

DEPOSIT
round_buttonI do require a deposit, it is a sad fact that people do request a commission without ever really wanting one. I ask for £50, not too large a sum, but it does prevent time-wasters and only those seriously interested will continue. I accept Paypal and Google checkout, please ask for details when placing your order. Until a deposit is made no commission will be confirmed so please bear this in mind, of course if you are not entirely happy with your pet portrait, you will be offered a full refund.

VIEW PROGRESS OF PAINTING ONLINE
round_buttonDecide if you would like to see your portrait on my blog as it is created. This enables you to check on it's progress at any time. You can leave comments, make suggestions and generally become involved in the process making it much more personal and fun. Clients in the past have thoroughly enjoyed this part of the process and become quite eager to see the finished piece.

round_buttonYou can choose the colour mount (and frame if applicable) at this point as you can see what will match your portrait. Once everything is absolutely perfect and you are satisifed with the painting, you will need to pay any outstanding balances, again by Paypal, cheque or postal order. You will only be paying if you are 100% satisifed.

POST WHEN PERFECT

round_buttonIf you are receiving your portrait by post, it will be mounted so all you will need to do is buy a frame and put it straight in. Posted portraits are securely packaged to ensure no damages occur and are sent by fully insured delivery (up to £500 in value). Your painting will require a signature upon delivery but I can post them to your work address, next door neighbour or direct to the lucky recipient if it is a gift. You will also be advised of the best frame size to purchase.
I use Royal Mail Track and trace services for UK deliveries and Royal Mail Airsure for overseas deliveries so you can follow your portrait's progress as it travels to you. You will be notified of you tracking code as soon as it is posted.
Each portrait is carefully packaged with layers of hardboard, protective film and wrapping to ensure it arrives in pristine condition.

COLLECTED PORTRAITS FRAMED

round_buttonIf you can collect your portraits, I will frame them for you at no extra charge. This is in lieu of postage.
