Life beyond the easel
A little bit of background about me and some of my pets
This is me with my two german shepherds, Willow is black, Stan is white. These two go to work with me every day, in fact they go everywhere with me!!
Meet Cyril the squirrel, one of the more unusual rescues we have taken in. He was dropped on the doorstep by the cat as a day old baby. As you can see we had great success with saving him and he did make his way back into the wild too
We often rescue hens from a battery hen farm who have reached the end of their profitable egg laying life. These hens live with an assortment of other creatures, geese, ducks and two pygmy goats! We also have a large collection of ornamental pheasants we breed with and sometimes send the eggs to countries where they are now scarce to help repopulate their natural habitats
Nut and Butt the rescued pygmy goats undergoing training, they were a little wild when they first arrived but have since settled down.
Zac is our elderly statesman, he is about 14 years old now and still loves going for a walk. His favourite job is refilling the chicken water bowls as he gets to investigate each pen and steal some eggs
Gypsy is also a rescue, she came to us after being returned to the breeder who then unfortunately died. She was one of 42 dogs to be rescued from the same place.
