Please read through the following information if you are interested in making a pet portrait artist commission, this will ensure you know exactly what is required which will make this is a very enjoyable experience as you see a pencil pet portrait's creation online and wait for your finished artwork to be delivered . Please see Gift Certificate for pencil portraits from photos page if this is your preferred option.

1. Images/Photographs:

Ensure your image is suitable. If you are unsure you can contact me for advice about pencil portraits from photos for advice, I will not take a commission from a poor image as it will be impossible to ensure a true-likeness is achieved. Your finished portrait is entirely dependent on the image I am supplied so it is wise to ensure you take your time when choosing your photograph. It should not only be your favourite but it should show the subject as you wish it to be portrayed. I can only reproduce what I can see. I am unable to make your dog look younger or make him stand up when the image clearly shows him sat down. A selection of images is the best way forward for reference with your chosen one clearly labelled as such.  Please follow my Pencil Portrait Drawing Photography Tips to help you take the best image possible.

2. Choose medium and size:

Visit Pencil Portraits Drawing Price/Size/Medium  page to decide which is most suitable, within your budget and which medium you prefer. If you have any queries at all please contact me prior to making a deposit (check a completion date is possible, if image is suitable, best medium or size to use etc)

3. Make a Deposit:

You are required to make a non-refundable deposit of £20.00 regardless of the size and medium you would like to order. This is to prevent time-wasters who have no intention of actually making a commission but would go through the process regardless. This will be deducted from your final balance. Visit the Make a Deposit page to make a pencil portraits from photos commission and complete the required details. This will involve a Paypal payment. Please make a note of the transaction identification number  You do not need to already have a Paypal account and it is free, you will not incur any fees by having a Paypal account and it offers you buyer protection of up to £500.00. Paypal is the safest way of transferring money over the internet. I am a verified Paypal merchant with hundreds of safe transactions previously undertaken.

Additional Options I'm PayPal Verified

If you are a UK resident and would like to pay with Personal cheque or a postal order (made payable to Karie-Ann Cooper), please go to step 4 below and state you will be sending the deposit by post or simply post images with this to my home address which can be found on the contact me page.

4. Email your Image

Send your image (jpeg, bitmap, gif etc all acceptable) to me,(email or post is fine) see the contact me  page for address details but please include the following information:

a. Do not forget to include your image (or images), if you send more than one for reference, please ensure you let me know which is the chosen image that I should work from. If you are asking for seperate images to be used in the same portrait please make sure this is clear.

b. Please include you Paypal transaction number. This ensures everything is linked and will help you with any correspondences.

c. Please detail the names of subjects, I like to know this just for my own curiosity.

d. A completion date. Generally portraits take about 4 - 8 weeks to complete, however sometimes, such as Christmas, this is not always possible. I am sometimes able to accommodate shorted deadlines so please ask, the 4 - 8 weeks is simply a guide.

e. If you are posting payment (UK residents only) please state this. Include your name and contact details/email address with your payment.

5. Work in Progess:

Your portrait will be shown on my Pencil Portrait Drawing Progress page, if you would rather not use this service please send me an email. Here you will be able to watch your portrait being created, you are invited to make comments during this process to ensure the finished work is as you expect. It will be easier to make any neccesary adjustments during the working stage if you feel something needs to be addressed.

6. Approval:

Once you have approved the final portrait you will be invoiced via Paypal for the balance (again UK orders can use personal cheques or postal orders) and on receipt of any balances your portrait will be mounted, hard backed and posted to you. Non UK delivery address should enquire for postal costs please.
